Ignore unsolicited calls to "fix" your computer

We are still receiving reports from customers that a company (possibly identified as "Nirvanan"), representing Microsoft, is calling to inform them that their computer has downloaded malware. The representative will refuse to answer questions but insists that the customer follow their instructions--and ultimately unknowingly add malware to the system at that time!

As we always tell you, do not provide your password--or access to your computer--to an unidentifiable source at any time. Treat all such calls as suspicious, and contact BELD Broadband if you have any questions.
