BELD Internet to offer discounted service for qualifying Braintree students
As a commitment to our community during the Covid-19 crisis, BELD Internet is proud to partner with Braintree Public Schools (BPS) to help bring reliable high-speed Internet to students during the 2020–2021 school year.
Any BPS family with a qualifying financial hardship can receive in-home Internet service at a discount during BPS’ hybrid and remote learning. The discount is available on our base plan, 100 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload.
BELD Internet is Braintree’s hometown, not-for-profit provider of high-speed Internet.
How to apply for the discount
- Contact BELD Internet to start the qualification process. If your home address can be serviced, we will provide financial guidelines, application forms and contact information for a third-party certification agency.
» Contact Gail Cohen, support services manager, at beldinternetforbps@beld.com or 781-348-1125. - Apply for the discount. You must submit your application to the certification agency for qualification based on income.
- Find out what discount you can receive. If the certification agency confirms your eligibility, BELD will tell you which level of discounted Internet service you are eligible for, up to and including free service. The discount is only available while BPS offers remote learning and will end when in-person learning resumes full-time.
