In BELDs press release, BELD General Manager Bill Bottiggi said:
“We are proud of our 20-year history as a local Internet Service Provider and sincerely thankful for our customers’ loyalty. Our top priority has always been our customers, and we continue to think of their best interests while adjusting to market conditions. After evaluating our options, we are confident the best decision is to connect our residential and business customers with Comcast’s best-in-class network, products, services and customer experience.”

Below are some top questions we are hearing from customers. You can also read Comcast’s customer FAQs here.
What do I have to do to transition my internet service from BELD to Comcast?
You don’t have to do anything. A Comcast representative will contact you directly in the coming days and weeks with further information.
However, if you would like to transition earlier, you can call Comcast’s dedicated customer care team at 1-866-235-0809, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday to Sunday.
Will my internet bill go up?
You will continue to receive a monthly bill from BELD until you get connected with Comcast. Virtually all customers switching over to Comcast will be offered comparable promotional internet packages that cost the same as or less than you are paying now.
What do I do with my rented BELD modem and equipment?
As of now, your equipment will continue to work. If any equipment is not compatible with Comcast, they will let you know and handle the transition with you.
What will happen to my BELD.net email?
BELD.net email addresses will remain active through March 2022. Comcast will contact you with instructions on how to transition your BELD email account to another email service of your choice.
Also, Comcast created this site where you can go to transfer your incoming BELD.net emails to another third-party email service.
Why did BELD sell its internet business?
We recently conducted a study showing we would need to make a major, multi-million dollar investment in network infrastructure over the next few years to maintain quality of service. This cost would have required a significant increase in customer rates.
