Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, Braintree Electric Light Department is closed to the public. We will continue to run operations as usual, our BELD staff is on site and available by phone or email firstname.lastname@example.org to provide information and answer questions regarding your BELD services; 781.348.BELD (2353). Please note our office hours have also been changed until further notice; our current hours of operation for all business conducted over the phone is 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Residents are encouraged to utilize our online resources at BELD.com. As always, our drop boxes are located at the top of Potter Road or outside of Town Hall if you need to drop off payments. Also please remember we DO NOT charge any fees for online bill pay, if you come across a website that is requiring a fee to pay your BELD bill, that is not BELD, please DO NOT pay them, just go directly to our website BELD.com to make payments to us.
Unfortunately, with these changes we must also put all new Internet/Phone installs on hold until further notice. We will be in the plant and in the field working non-stop to ensure stability of your services, and we are on hand and ready to assist if any issues should arise. Even though we will be in the field, we will not be entering any residents’ homes until further notice. If someone is having any interruptions with BELD services, we will verify the service is connected and working from the pole right to the home. Any issues that would normally require an in-home technician will need to be resolved over the phone or via the Live Chat feature on our website.
BELD Internet is taking the FCC’s pledge #KeepAmericansConnected and will waive any Electric or Internet late fees that residential or small business customers incur because of disruptions caused by the coronavirus and will not terminate service for the next 60 days. #BELDcares
As always, thank you for your business.
