Free speed upgrade for BELD Internet customers

With many Braintree residents working from home, adopting these new social-distancing behaviors, teaching and entertaining children who are home from school due to closures. We want to make sure you have the speed you need to support this temporary new way of living and working. With that said we have upgraded our download speeds at no additional cost to you.

BELD remains closed to the public until further notice.

Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, Braintree Electric Light Department is closed to the public. We will continue to run operations as usual, our BELD staff is on site and available by phone or email cservice@beld.com to provide information and answer questions regarding your BELD services; 781.348.BELD (2353). Please note our office hours have also been changed until further notice; our current hours of operation for all business conducted over the phone is 7:30  a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

BELD phone now works with Nomorobo to block robo calls to your home. It’s a FREE add-on that hangs up or blocks illegal robocallers or telemarketer calls to your BELD landline. Don’t worry; legitimate automated calls such as school closing notifications, doctors' office reminders, prescription pick up alerts and hurricane warnings are still allowed.
